The Seeds You Plant: Trusting in the Bloom Through Intuition & Rituals

There is a famous saying: "The day you plant the seed is not the day you eat the fruit." It’s a truth that echoes through so many aspects of life, a reminder that the seeds we plant today may not show themselves right away, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t plant them.

Last month, I was struck by this truth in the most beautiful and unexpected way. I noticed a burst of orange flowers blooming in a part of our land where I had never seen them before. And then it hit me…this was the exact place where we planted my daughter’s placenta back in November 2022. For years, there had been no sign, no indication of what lay beneath the surface. But now, from that planting, from the nutrients that once nourished life within me, something new had emerged.

This moment reminded me of the power of planting seeds both literal and metaphorical. We don’t always know what will come of them, and we don’t always see immediate results. But the act of planting is an act of trust, an act of devotion to something unseen yet deeply felt.

In life, we are constantly sowing seeds, intentions, commitments, new habits, small shifts that over time shape our reality. Some seeds sprout quickly, while others take seasons, even years, to break through the surface. But each one holds the potential for something new to emerge.

This is the magic I have come to trust: planting with intention, even when I don’t know when or how the bloom will come. Spreading seeds in the directions I feel called, nurturing them with presence, and trusting that one day, they will sprout in their own perfect timing. They will birth new life. They will bring forth new beginnings.
