Where Focus Goes, Energy Flows: What You Focus on Grows!

For over a decade, I’ve encountered the wisdom that "what you focus on grows " and "where attention goes, energy flows." These statements have echoed through my life from countless sources—books, mentors, even fleeting images on various social platforms. Intellectually, I understood it. Yet, every now and then, the embodiment of this truth sinks in just a little deeper.

You see, it begins with an awareness—an awakening to this idea. At first, it’s an intellectual understanding. You grasp it logically, but it’s still something outside of yourself. Over time, if you nurture it, this understanding transforms into an embodied experience—one that is uniquely yours. It’s no longer just a concept; it becomes a way of being.

So, the question is: where are you focusing your energy in your life? Are you fixated on the problems, or are you directing your attention toward the solutions? Is your energy scattered on the lives and issues of others, or is it concentrated on growing, healing, and evolving your own life?

Many people use the distractions of others' lives as a way to avoid their own work. But when we turn our energy inward and focus on the areas within ourselves that need attention, we begin to cultivate something powerful. This focused attention leads to growth, evolution, and the remembering of who we truly are.

It’s about moving from an intellectual concept to an embodied cultivation.

For example, if you constantly focus on what’s lacking in your life, you’ll continue to experience lack. But if you shift your attention to abundance, gratitude, and growth, you’ll start to see these things come into your life more and more. The energy you pour into your thoughts, feelings, and actions shapes the reality you experience. If you want to cultivate something different in your life, ask yourself: is my attention on the solutions, or am I buried in the problems?

The power of focus is easily underrated. Where you choose to direct your energy determines what grows in your life. By consciously shifting your focus, you can cultivate a life that aligns with your true desires. So, take a moment to reflect—where is your focus today, and what are you allowing to grow?
